Payroll Consultant - Thessaloniki

Fovera Prostasia S.A., a fast-growing company providing accounting, tax, payroll and business advisory services, is seeking a Payroll Consultant to join its Thessaloniki office.

In this role, you will be responsible for the end-to-end management of client payroll, working alongside an experienced team in a well-organised and modern professional environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Independently manage, prepare and process client payroll.
  • Enter and maintain payroll data, calculate salaries, benefits and social security contributions, and manage Digital Work Card requirements.
  • Provide advisory support to clients on employment and social security legislation.
  • Prepare payroll reports and other client deliverables.
  • Handle payroll-related enquiries and maintain regular communication with clients.
  • Manage payroll compliance procedures, including EFKA and payroll withholding tax (FMY) requirements.
  • Liaise with public authorities and regulatory bodies, including ERGANI and labour inspection authorities.

Essential Requirements

  • At least 2 years of dedicated professional experience in payroll.
  • Proven experience in independently managing the full payroll process, rather than working solely in a supporting role.
  • Very good practical knowledge of Greek employment and social security legislation.
  • Daily hands-on experience with the ERGANI information system.
  • Very good knowledge of Epsilon Net payroll software.
  • Experience in labour and social security inspections, including SEPE and IKA/EFKA audits.

This Position Is Not Intended For

  • HR professionals with limited or supporting involvement in payroll.
  • Accountants without current, hands-on experience in independently managing employee payroll.
  • Junior candidates or candidates with limited professional experience.
