Accountant – Corporate Advisor (Category C Companies)

Fovera Prostasia S.A., a company providing accounting, tax, payroll, and consulting services, is seeking for its offices in Thessaloniki:

Accountant – Head of Audit for Category C Companies

Key Responsibilities

• Conducting regular visits to client premises, informing clients about their tax and accounting status, and providing accounting and tax advisory services.

• Supervising the operation of the client’s internal accounting department and guiding the proper execution of accounting processes.

• Preparing monthly financial results and presenting them to clients.

• Reviewing and reconciling trial balances.

• Performing period-end closings and preparing financial statements (balance sheets, profit and loss statements).

• Preparing the annual tax returns and related tax forms for companies.

• Recording accounting documents in Category C (double-entry) accounting books, when required.

• Resolving complex accounting recording and reporting matters.

• Preparing tax planning strategies for clients to ensure optimal tax and social security outcomes, including matters related to profit distributions.

• Communicating with statutory auditors to address any pending issues (for clients subject to statutory audits).

• Providing recommendations regarding company restructuring or legal form conversions, based on the appropriate legal provisions, to safeguard the client’s interests.

Required Qualifications

• Degree (University / Technological Institute) in Accounting, Economics, or a related field. A postgraduate degree in auditing or accounting will be considered an asset.

• At least 4 years of relevant professional experience in a similar role within an audit, accounting, or tax consulting firm.

• Excellent knowledge of the accounting cycle and tax legislation for individuals and legal entities.

• Excellent command of MS Office, Gmail, ERP systems, and ideally CRM systems.

• Very good command of English.

• Strong communication skills and dynamic personality.

• Excellent time management and prioritization skills.

• Adaptability, teamwork, consistency, and attention to detail.
